For those of you who come visit me here at this site regularly, you know we’ve been doing a lot of work on this site lately. I’d like to personally thank you for your continued patronage of my site, and let you know what I have in store for you here at RickUpshaw.com.
For those of you who know me, you know that the small business entrepreneur is the passion of my life. I wake up every day with thoughts in my head about how I might be able to add to the dwindling population of entrepreneurs worldwide, and particularly in my beloved United States of America. For my entire adult life, I have always believed that the main source of our economic problems was not the lack of jobs, but the lack of small business entrepreneurs. As I’ve pointed out elsewhere on my site, and elsewhere on the internet,…
“At the turn of the 20th century, 98% of all Americans were self-employed. At the turn of the 21st century, less than 2% are self-employed.”
What’s wrong with this picture? Do we not see it? People from all over the world uproot themselves, abandon everything they own, in some cases, and even risk their very lives just to make it to the shores of America for the slim chance of “The American Dream” of having their own business without fear of government interference, yet the American people have become more and more complacent about what they have, taking it for granted, and even scoffing at what they have as they give more and more of their lives over to corporate and government control! Gos save our blessed country from the people who know better and would take advantage of the people who don’t!
Someone told me once that if you take a frog and throw him into boiling water, like any of us, the frog will jump right out again. However, if you put the frog into water at room temperature, and slowly turn up the temperature, the frog will literally stay in the water and allow itself to boil to death, not realizing the danger it is in as the heat rises? Am I the only one who sees that this is what is happening to us in America, and indeed, around the world? According to emails I am receiving from you all in increasing numbers over the last several months, the answer to that question is a resounding “no”.
So what does any of this have to do with my website?
Well…
Many years ago, my company, American Enterprises, spawned a division of itself now known as American Marketing Solutions. This division started out as just a marketing arm for any entrepreneurial projects being supported by American Enterprises. After all, without marketing, any entrepreneurial endeavor is dead upon inception, because no one else will know about it! From there, American Marketing Solutions evolved by offering unique and customized marketing solutions to other companies outside of the American Enterprises projects. As more and more of you send email asking about how you can better maximize your small business endeavor’s marketing dollars, I’ve come to realize that the techniques I have available in my head for giving small businesses that “edge” they are going to need to survive and thrive in these uncertain financial times. Hence, the massive changes taking place on this site:
1. More Effort & Opportunities For Recession-Proof Business Endeavors
No, I’m not talking about throwing out more and more sales pages onto the internet. I think we all know there is enough of that. Instead, I will be finishing off real, no BS methods of making money as a self-employed entrepreneur which I will be able to share with you. Will I make money on this? Of course! However, it won’t be by taking a load of money out of you! Rather, I intend to set things up in such a way that I am financially motivated to make YOU successful!
2. Enlist The Help Of Others
To date, I have been perfectly happy trying to make a difference in my own little circle with my own small list of clients. No longer. As I’ve seen my own efforts impact the lives of more and more people and businesses (in more ways than I originally thought would be the case), I’ve come to realize that just doing this on my own isn’t really enough. I can make a better difference by duplicating myself in others. I’m not sure if this is going to take the form of some kind of affiliate program, or reseller program, or if it’s going to look like some kind of sales-rep or account manager model, but I’m going to be updating this site accordingly as I put the finishing touches in this idea. So if you’re interested in learning how you can literally save businesses from going out of business, and make a good living doing it, then stay tuned to my site (as well as my other sites) as I continue to ramp this up!
