Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ | Frequently Asked Questions | Rick UpshawRick Upshaw regularly receives questions from people and companies interested in working with him in some form or fashion.  In some cases, the questions are from would-be entrepreneurs who are sincerely interested in getting into some kind of business opportunity – perhaps a home-based business opportunity – but are tired of being ripped off, or at the very least, they are tired of only getting half of the information they need to make an informed decision.  In other cases, the questions come from prospective clients or client businesses interested in various aspects of Rick Upshaw’s consulting services.  In any case, after enough of these questions, and finding that the questions are often similar in nature, we thought it would be helpful to all if we put together a Frequently Asked Questions section for the convenience of Rick Upshaw’s readers.

Please note that this page is likely to be a constant work in progress.  As we get more questions, we’ll try to update this page with the answers.

Frequently Asked Questions of Rick Upshaw

1.  I’ve heard so many different job titles for positions in marketing.  Could you give us your perspective on what all of these marketing job titles are, and perhaps what the job descriptions are for them?

Yes, it seems to me that there are more titles for marketing positions these days than there are book titles at the local library.  I don’t claim to be the expert on marketing job descriptions, but based on positions in my own companies as well as what I’ve seen in client organizations over the years, I’ve put together a list of marketing positions and the marketing job descriptions that go along with them as I understand them.  Click on the following link to learn more:
