Major Site Revision

Hello World!

After some careful thought, and a lot of input from my readers, I’ve decided to make a major change to this website.  I’m in the process of setting up a new theme here, so please bear with me as I move everything around!

Step 1: Go Back And Rework Pages

First, I’m going to be reorganizing and adding pages to my site.   These links will all be at the very top of the site in this new template.  I have a lot that I’d like to put there, so this is going to take a while, but I hope to get it all done in short order.

My thoughts are to include and/or update the following for my pages:

• About Rick
• Work with Rick
• Recommended Resources
• Private Mentoring
• Newsletter
• Sitemap

Step 2:  Posts

I actually already have a lot of posts, but I’ve had to put most of them back into draft status for several reasons.

First, this new template I’m using uses a whole different method for displaying thumbnails, and has completely different requirements for the files you can use for thumbnails.  So I have to go back and look at every single post I’ve made over the last several years, and if the thumbnail won’t work with this template, I have to go back and manually hunt for a new one, or create one from scratch!

Second, this new template has different requirements for listing my categories.  So as I move the categories around so that they are displayed correctly, I have to do a manual redirect so that people looking for the post can find it (and so that Google can find it as well)!  Again, this is very time consuming, but I think when I get through all of this, your experience on my site will be far more fruitful and enjoyable!
