Rick Upshaw Honored By Volunteers
A press release was recently issued announcing that Rick Upshaw had been honored by a group of volunteers from the Philippines devoted to helping victims of the Philippines Typhoons and resulting flooding. Although he would have prefered to remain behind the scenes in order to keep the focus on the victims of the Philippines typhoons and resulting Philippines flood, Mr. Upshaw was both honored and humbled to see this come out, and would like to express his appreciation and gratitude for the recognition.
So Why Rick Upshaw?
According to the press release and the corresponding information from the volunteers’ website at http://www.PhilippinesTyphoon.org, Rick Upshaw is single-handedly responsible for the ongoing and continued international awareness of the ongoing crisis in the Philippines. In short, Rick Upshaw actually built the site in the first place for the benefit of the Philippines typhoon victims. He did all of the initial search engine optimization work so that the search engines would recognize their website and place it well. He recruited a team of internet professionals from around the globe to help him with the internet marketing necessary to keep the site on the front page of the search engines, as well as building the core for what would be the group of volunteers who currently run the website today.
While he has preferred to remain behind the scenes on the Philippines typhoon project from its beginning, these volunteers believe that Rick Upshaw could very well be responsible for saving the very lives of many, many Filipinos who otherwise would have died from starvation or exposure had the financial support not been provided as more and more people became aware of the plight of the victims after seeing the website and wanting to help.
