First Amendment Suspended
A few weeks ago, I posted an open letter to President Obama in response to a somewhat humorous debate I was having with an old high-school buddy of mine on Facebook. In that debate, I was challenged about (among other things) my belief that President Obama and his current administration of communist cronies are more and more eroding away the rights we take for granted in today’s American society. Not only are American businesses (especially small businesses) in grave danger, but American liberties as we know them are under attack, I argued. I had a similar exchange with a gentlemen in the comments section of that post.
Well, let’s fast forward to today, when I found this video on the front page of YouTube as I started to create an account for a new client:

Here are the remarks of the person posting the video:
“As BP makes its latest attempt to plug its gushing oil well, news photographers are complaining that their efforts to document the slow-motion disaster in the Gulf of Mexico are being thwarted by local and federal officials—working with BP—who are blocking access to the sites where the effects of the spill are most visible.”

While many conservatives like me might tend to find the fact that this is being reported by the liberal media laughable, I tend to see it as a ray of hope, and proof of some of the arguments I was making on Facebook and in that earlier post. One more liberal (in this case, a liberal journalist, is standing up and taking note of yet one more freedom that is now being trampled upon. What is happening in the gulf coast affects every single American, and we have a right to know what is happening. America is the last place on earth where the media is supposed to have freedom to report the truth without fear of problems of any kind by the government, yet that is exactly what Obamunism demands in this case, so that is what’s happening.
We are headed for an America in which every single freedom we have enjoyed for more than 200 years, and for which our ancestors fought and died will only exist if Obama says it does. This is not the America I was born into. This is not the America I was promised in the United States Constitution. This is not the “change” that millions of Americans voted for. We have been deceived and betrayed by one man in his lust for power, and he’s getting away with it because he knows the typical American has become too lazy and too complacent to do anything about it.
I strongly urge my liberal Americans to stand up and take note that this is a liberal reporter pointing this out to you! Please stand up and take note of what’s happening all around you! Where is the ACLU now? Isn’t this the very definition of a “civil liberties” violation?
Think, America, before it’s too late!
